I have invested tons on shells....my opinion....

Lassen is the way to go...I have dropped mine for years...still have a shell of his from around 2002....he will fix them when you do finally kill it. Kooper (I think that is how it is spelled) from Canada makes a good shell. There is another known maker I tried out but when I opened the package it dropped it on a soft tile floor and the rim broke. Might have been a one time thing but for the money I go for what has worked.

Still waiting for an answer from him though. Looking forward to experiment with his handywork.
