Haven't watched the demo, but it sounds like a close up version of Rune Klans 'Beard book'

Similar premise, slightly different effect... With the mustache trick, the effect is more about transferring the mustache from the card to your face.

Gotta love Chris Ballinger. Smile

Anyway, the patter really would write itself at that time of year. People like silliness. I like silliness.

That was a good link tom, thanks..I really liked the "a bit suspect" line. Smile Here are two more links to
"silliness":

A nice way to end Chris' illusion might be to "magically produce" a Charlie Chaplin type moustache, next: "magically produce" a derby hat and cane, place the hat
on your head...and then do Charlie's classic waddle/walk away! Smile

Thank you soooo much for those links Mr Inventor! Smile

This is so utterly DIFFERENT; so NOT SO run of the mill, that I think the right personality could make a hit of this.

As Chris said, the effect compels them to not look at your hands, but look at your face, and that in itself can have a lot of value.

I've done effects where moustach's appear on dollar bils (Dan Harlan's "Stash" ) and Paul Harris's "Ultra Visual Night Shades" , but this effect by Chris is a whole nother animal.

Very creative and very original

Good work, Chris!

Has anybody been using this? Just wandering how it has been playing for you? I just placed an order for this today. I see a lot of good comedy potential with Moustache!

I have a feeling I am going to have a lot of fun with this one Zombie!! I may try to have the spectator close his/her eyes and transpose the moustache onto them!!

Funnily enough, last week I won a bid on Karrell Fox's "Another Book" from 1979... and inside it was a moustache effect! cards mixed faced down with different moustaches on them, one selected but not revealed, you turn your back and show the card around... when you spin back round, you now have the matching moustache on your top lip....

Moustaches are VERY big now with pre-teen girls.

My daughter has moustache T-shirts, bracelets, necklaces, socks, and stick-ons.

No, I do not have one myself.

And I'm very puzzled by it all!

Is it because they would like to grow one but hopefully never will!

Not quite. You don't have to turn around to make the moustache appear. Just got this a few days ago. I really like it. I think it will be a cute effect with some good comedy potential. Handling is pretty easy and actually smooth. Chris lays ouy nice instructions on the DVD. I will post more later.
