Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some good resources for learning "attention grabbing" card flourishes. Thanks -Spade |

Yeah, this one has been exhausted on numerous occasions. Like dave said go search, though somethimes that does prove a little difficult as I don't think the search facility is all that good.

De'vo's Cradle to Grave is the hottest flourish DVD ever! It was just released and I think there is more copies left. Read the reviews in the DVD section and across the net. Nothing can touch it. Even Daryl, McBride, Peter Duffie, TG Murphy and others had nothing but awesome things to say.

Not to rain on the parade, but as awesome as CTG is, I wouldn't recommend it to Spade at this point. I think starting of with THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PLAYING CARD FLOURISHES, McBride's ART OF CARD MANIPULATION video series, or the stuff found in Giobbi's CARD COLLEGE SERIES would actually be a better starting point. Other good stuff can by found in Hugard's CARD MANIPULATIONS and MORE CARD MANIPULATIONS as well as in Paul Harris's ART OF ASTONISHMENT SERIES. Hey, maybe I'm old school. I think CTG is great, but the easy stuff is real easy and the hard staff is pretty hard, but I think the above references are better geared to start people off in become well rounded in aspects of flourishing.

The bible is a MUST for sure!
But saying the CTG isn't good for beginners or learning would be incorrect. It teaches 5 fans from the basics. 3 Very simple openers the very easy and cool flipback and the birdy fan. This is still a great start, combine those with the free downloadables on handlordz and I think it is very good. The things you mentioned were all books which are not as easy to learn from. CTG is all visual and simple to learn from. Yes CTG has some other material for those to work on. And besides, who wants all beginner material? What's nice about CTG is that the moves build on each other, so once you get the flipback down, the vanish, fan, and others is just a hop away. But I would without a doubt recommend the EPOPCF! |

The easyest flourish ever is spreading out the cards
----------------------------- and fliping them over by lift one end they do this in casinos alot

I agree phantomace. I didn't mean to say that it was not good for beginners. It just seemed like it was being cited as the one and only way to go. CTG DOES have some great stuff for both the beginner and the advanced, but without doubt, TEOPCF is the single best investment penny for penny.
