At the bottom of the box I found this. I thought it was lids for Okito boxes
however, they are too small to half-dollar coins. unfortunately it is only the lids. So I will call my magic dealer from who I got the box, and ask him if the rest of the set Click here to view attached image.

Henrik,
It still appears to be a Sterling product, that's the style of their washer/Chinese type coin. I may have a piece like that too. I do have a box of old odds and ends. But Sterling is still alive, they have a webpage and an email address. If you could take a picture of the coin and send it to them they could probably help you out. |

The Back of the coin is raised a little where the half dollar insert is. it makes the hole in the brass coin look deeper, So the coin it self is a little thin.

Is this an ebay auction or what? Just wondering where to look for similar things. There must be many magicians retiring or estates that wonder what to do with grandpa's old magic case.

I found the box at my local magic shop.
Was actually just inside to find some teflon discs So we came to talk about coins when he said that he had received a box a few days before. I think it was from an estate. he had not had time to look through it, but if there was something I wanted to buy, he would give me a good price. It ended with I bought it all. I now have sorted it all. unfortunately there are 2 coins that are not complete. one is the Chinese coin with a half dollar in the center. and the other is a casino coin that is missing half the gimmic. But it's still a fantastic collection. I'm going to the magic shop again next week to see if I might find the parts that is missing. Should also see if he has a bang ring for some Swedish coins.

So I finally found out what the last coins were. together with my local magic shop
I also found out that the previous owner even made many of the effects himself. among other things, there were 2 sets of a simpler variation of "hopping halves" Â and a set of 4 CCCP coins with a few fun effects stored in it. Among other things where you have to have 4 spectators to each take a coin, three of them have a red Reverse Side, and 1 white. you should then be able to tell who has the white. The lids are still a mystery, but still believe that some of them belong to a BCC monte. My dealer took pictures of the various items that were missing part of the effect, and we agreed that when he get started to work through the estate, and perhaps found something, he would call me.
