So here's something I found really strange.
Yesterday after performing my 3 shows at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA I had a young boy come up to me afterwards and ask me if any of the volunteers in my show were STOOGES! I do not use them, but how did this little 8 or 9 year old boy know of stooges??? I found this to be a very odd question! =Frank=

My guess is, he was watching video on You Tube...or he has read a magic book.

What tricks did you perform that could have gave him the idea?
I would have probably did a simple pick a card trick on him and told him what his card was (a force). Next, I would have asked him "Are you my stooge?" |

He has probably heard about stooges and wanted to make contact in a way that let you know he was an "insider".
It sounds a lot like a Magic hobbiest adult making contact with their best guess. He is just young for it. -Mary Mowder |

I'm not really sure why he would have asked that question, but by some chance were any of your volunteers named Curley, Larry or Moe???

I wonder if there wasn't a magician mother or father that put him up to asking the question, maybe to mess with you lol.

This was also at the Castle for a magic audience.

I performed a cut & restored rope routine, and the Terry Lunceford's "Viper 2 Snake Basket".
Nothing earth shattering that would require a stooge of ANY kind! =Frank=

Darn Robin, you stole my line!
But to answer your question, the internet is all-knowing and all-speculating depending on which total online stranger you trust for your information. You can find 9 year old kids teaching tricks on Youtube or theorizing how they're done with misinformation. |

The boy has seen a Criss Angel TV show, and he is smart enough to know that Criss is a fake magician.
