That sounds like a Larry Becker (World of Super Mentalism I or II) effect or a Ted Annemann effect. Maybe Practical Mental Magic? Good Luck.

This is a common description of a publicity ploy.
Myriad ways to accomplish this have been published. But why two threads with the same question? e |

I was wondering the same thing.
The basic description applies to a number of effects released over the last century, including routines by UF Grant, Ned Rutledge and JG Thompson. The Rutledge/Thompson effect was called, I believe, "Before the Presses Roll" or something similar. |
