Silk to egg gets a great response every time. Classic for a reason. Often, I'll close with a blendo from silks Ive used previously in my act and that goes over very well. Lots of "eewwws a d aaahhhs". It's not my finale (that's my second to last trick.) I like the blendo because it is quick and visual and its easy to take a bow from.

OK....I have a confession to make....
I think that the very best silks trick that I ever did was Manfred Thumm's Version of The Mutilated Parasol.........My goodness....what a Deluxe set of stage props that was....and totally unique as all of the silks were black and white with a matching b/w parasol cover, "Blendo"Bag" Change Bag...(also B/W) and a spring-actuated, self-opening Parasol AND Change TUBE!!! For a trick "This Big" that relies on silks with NO COLOR...it was totally contrary with any other silk effects, that so much ADD color to any performance....and this LACK OF COLR...is what made this trick with this prop go over so well..... Having said that, My "Go-To" bit is, and probably always be, Duke's Dye Version....what a GREAT TRICK! |

Rainbow...........
The next time we get together, we need to discuss Dukey's Dye V. I'm particularly interested in how you finish it. It's one of those bits that meets all or darn nearly all of my criteria. I would just need to call Greg. for a streamer.

Dick....
Done deal! This time, you need to come by my house, because I need to show you a couple of things........ Also, I'll let you tell me if you think the Rice Streamer or Abbott's Streamer "Plays Better".... |

I get great reactions with my Slydini Silks routine. It took years to get it to look the way that I want it to look, but it was well worth the effort. It took a lot of research and I had to develop a technique that got around the fact that I have stubby thumbs. Randi Rain and John Carney supplied the last bits of info that enabled me to give it a powerful finish.
Half-dyed Hank is another great one. It's so funny! |

My favourite is the bottle from silks production. Show three different coloured silks to be empty, roll them into a ball and produce your bottle. Grreat way to give yourself a drink during a hot kiddies show. Non alcoholic of course...
