It would be nice to get a wedding band PK ring in gold coloured and not crack or brake so easily that's for sure.

I just got this. The ring is nice. Nowhere near as powerful as wizard rings for sure. The magnet is small. I love to perform the cap in the bottle effect and I broke my wizard ring so I went ahead and got one of these. Its hard to hit the sweet spot if you know what I mean. Nice ring but I will still buy a new wizard ring again.

Wizard ring's are very good and I liked mine because it really did look like my wedding band ring when it was new, they just rust easy, gold chip's off and they crack.mind you mine lasted a year atleast before it got worse for wear.

You can add strength to do cap and bottle if you add a small round m****t to underside. You can add and remove it when you want and put it on your belt buckle or wherever for instant on and off. It looks nice, doesn't break or get in the way of other effects and you can use it for other ring tricks without fear of dropping it. Learn a few ring moves and you always have something to show.

I happen to see this thread today.
I made such a ring almost 8 years ago and had shared my idea here on the café as well as shared the secret with a few members who asked for the knowhow through PM. Here is the link - http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......204133#6 P.S. In the above link, this is what I wrote:- Quote:
The ring's magnetic strength can be varied from weak to moderately strong, the ring’s surface polarity can be changed and the magnet can be made to switch 'On'/ 'Off' (may I say at "WILL" ) by just a flick of the thumb. Also, if need be, the ring can be given out for complete examination. Fortunately (& probably) so far no one has been able to replicate my ring.

Hi all...
Old topic but I thought it's helpful to share my experiences with this PK ring. I own that ring for about a year now. I bought it as a replacement for my broken "all side attracting" ring. To have a SS ring sounded good to me: 1. No oxydation of the material. So no problem with nickel allergics. 2. Durable material and not breaking if accidentialy droped like pure neodymium. 3. Turning on if power is needed, turning off if not needed. 4. Nice neutral and unsuspicious design. The power of the field is strong enough for most of my uses. Performing stuff like "Magic Bolt and Nut" is a bit tricky and needed a change in my routine. A "full field" ring works better for switching things on. There are two things wich make me wearing the ring as less as possible. The ring is SS, but the neodynium magnet is covered with nickel. So my skin reacts to the magnet and the magnet got oxydized after a few month. The magnet is glued into a drilled hole in the ring. At the upper surface the magnet is even and smooth with the ring. Sadly at the inside it ain't smooth and peeks up the inner diameter for about1-2 mm. This ain't much but it's very uncomfortable and scratches the skin if worn for longer time. I'm thinking of getting me a neodymium magnet and replace the origina so it doesn't peek up the inside. Or getting another ring. Maybe some of you can share your experiences with that ring. God bless ya. Elrondo

Good to know that the deactivation happens by spinning it around, would be amazing if there was another way to do it.

You may want to try this magnetic ring,https://www.demiandco.com/products/copper-ring it is made of copper so doesn't look like it has magnets in it (they are on the inside discreetly placed)
you cant see the magnets and they are sealed so wont irritate your skin made with pure copper so no nickel no allergic rashes or reactions super robust I have dropped it on the floor a few times and no damage. Reasonably priced £14 and delivery worldwide. |
