Wanted to add an escape to my stage show and got the MAILBAG ESCAPE
from bobsolarimagic.com The price was right so I ordered it last week and got it few days ago. I really like the quality of this and it's much easier to escape from the bag than I thought! If you're looking for an affordable, impressive escape...this is it! |

Is this Bag Escape by Leaping Lizards? If not, how does it compare?

Abbott's Mail Bag Escape has stood the test of time and has been on the market for over 70 years. No junk import, made in the U.S.A. and looks like the real thing. I was worked in the military post office in Viet Nam, and it very realistic.
How does this compare to your suggestion from Bob Solari Magic? Is the bag made out of canvas, and can the gimmick stand up to the performance? |

I got this one from Madhatter magic- it is a canvas bag and can stand up to heavy examination. Plus it was only $44.95! I am very happy with this!

I will add- the only thing I wasn't happy with was the locks but you can replace those with any locks you like!

Hi RNK,
Can this be done with just you and a spectator or do you need an assistant? Thanks! Best, Chad Quote:

If I may butt-in and clarify...
A "Mail Bag Escape" and the "Cloth Bag Instant Escape" as cited above..are two completely different methods & presentations. The former typically uses a steel bar that is threaded thru the brass eyelets ontop of the canvas bag,and is typically done out of view to escape. The cloth bag (sack) escape (which sounds like Okito's version in the Tarbell Course) - is an instant full-view escape, with a trained assistant required to hold the bag & supervise the closing of it. The mailbag is more of a hard-core escape, and the sack escape is more of an "illusionary" escape. |
