I will be performing a three way test (as taught by Mark Wilson in his Complete Course in Magic) and had a question about revealing the predictions. I am new, less that two years, to magic, but I was still familiar with the O** A**** principle which Mark suggests to use. I believe the effect is strong but wanted to know if you all have performed this three way test, and what was the most effective way you have revealed the predictions. I was thinking about just using three F***** instead. Has anyone tried this or had success with it? You can PM if you want.

One force is definitely enough. With a bit of imagination it can be a great effect, but with three forces you would really reduce your options, and make it a poor trick instead of an impressive feat of mind-reading.

As a newbie I would continue and perform the effect as Mark outlined instead of searching and trying to find the perfect solution.
You will wind up like most others on the Café and begin spending your time searching and looking for the perfect solution instead of performing and DEVELOPING the perfect solution. Get out there and perform the effect for as many people as you can and you will begin to understand why Mark gave you this powerful tool. It's a building block, a stepping stone. |

Good advice all, thank you. John C especially, you hit the nail on the head I think.

Isn't the Three Way Test exactly as described in Mark Wilson obsolete? I mean, can you get a group of three or more adults these days without at least one of them knowing about one ahead? The poor guy who tried to get away with using it on the Howard Stern show sure got burned. And if Howard Stern can figure it out, can't almost anyone?

I didn't see the Howard Stern performance lane99 referred to, but in Inner Thoughts maybe someone could post and we could discuss what went wrong? Unless that's happened already. Without the right handling, sure o**-a*e** can fall apart. Whether almost anyone could figure it out depends on how well it's executed. Performed for kids, Mark Wilson's method is probably fine. To perform for anyone over the age of 12 you could save time and heartache by heeding gableson's first post.

Panty guessing test? Sounds like a premise fit for the Howard Stern show. I think I'll skip it.
