The betchas I do don't seem that hard to understand, to me. I think they are all from the late Shari Lewis' children's show. Don't laugh. I had a major crush on her when I was a little kid. E.g., betcha I can jump higher than this table. Blank expressions from everyone except adults. Or, betcha I can push this (big) coin through this (small) hole without tearing the paper. Like, these are tricks you can use to fool your friends, kids. Are there betchas that work with kids?

One bet kids like: "I bet I can turn around your hand without touchung your hand! Hold your hand between my hands."

Hold your hands maybe 10 inches apart, top hand palm down, the other hand palm up.

The kid holds one hand between your two hands.

Then you say casually "No the other way round." The kid turns his hand around.

Now you say: "I did it!"

Most kids like that joke and then do the joke for their friends.

In Germany maybe 20 % of the kids allready know the gag.

Betcha can't tie this rope in a knot without letting go of either end.

You have to fold your arms, the pick up the rope. When you unfold your arms, the rope will be tied.

Magician: "You can say everything you want but you are not allowed to say "white" or you loose ok?"

Kid: "Ok."

Magician: "What is the colour of your shoes?"

Kid: "Red"

Magician: "What is the colour of the wall?"

Kid: "Black"

Magician: "What is the colour of your shirt?"

Kid: "Blue"

Magician: "Now you have lost because you said blue!"

Kid: "But you said I am not allowed to say white!"

Magician: "Now you said white!"

The hand turn worked well. Thanks!

I do the rope tying one. I think I should hand the rope to a kid and ask them to try it.

Not sure about the white one. Might try.
