Hello everybody! Here’s some news from Metalwriting.

After our release of Eye of Odin and The Trophy we’ve been working on three more projects. A lot of costumers have been asking whether any of our products can be done close-up. Therefore we have created two new tricks for the serious close-up worker.

The Gun of Anckarström - A stage play
The Gun of Anckarström comes with three different routines depending on your audience. The effect itself has three climaxes. The performer shows a padlocked wooden box and claims that it contains the flintlock gun that was used in the assassination of king Gustav III in the year of 1792. Five bullets are shown, four regular ones, and one made out of gold. Five spectators secretly pick one of the bullets from a velvet bag. The spectator with the gold bullet is the murderer.

The performer can tell who the killer is and the spectator is invited to the stage. He explains that the murderer was bound to the weapon, but he wasn't the only one. The assassination was planned by a group of people known as the Skulls and bones. Their signature is a skull.

The performer opens the box and inside there is a flint stock pistol. He turns the pistol over and shows a metal skull in the stock of the pistol. He then pays attention to a tattoo on the spectators arm - A matching skull. He then claims that the owner of the gun had engraved his name in the pistol. And of course - it is so.

The Gun of Anckarström will be made in a limited run. Right now ten pistols are in the making. We are planning on ten more during next year. A video is being made and will be released in September together with the Gun.

The poker chip
The magician tells a story about a lucky poker token which always helps him to win in card games. He asks someone to hold on to a draw string bag which contains the lucky token. Someone is asked to name a country, city or place he or she would like to visit if he won a big amount of money. He writes a prediction on a piece of paper, folds it up and places it on the table. A card is selected and the magician unfolds the piece of paper. The chosen card is written there. Then the bag is opened and a single token falls out. The back is engraved with the earlier stated country.

Eye of Odin - up close
A new version will be available this fall were the Eye of Odin can be done without the use of a black board. You can predict the spectators name and chosen card as an engraved on the back of an amulet which you’ve had in your pocket all the time.

We will have more information in September. The close-up versions are really nice. The Close-up Eye of Odin Will be great at tables, even walk around.

What would you think of the concept of putting your prices in Euros rather than Swedish Krone? Might be helpful for a worldwide audience - yes I realize it is easy to Google the exchange etc. Just a thought

For example this new effect comes out to about $301.00 USD or $229.00 Euros...

Also does the VAT come off the price for those in the USA etc?

We had Euros earlier, but the exchange rate keeps changing so we decided to use our own currency. We understand that it is a bit of a problem.

The Swedish VAT is 25%, but only for Swedish costumers. Within the EU, it is the same (25%) unless you have a registered firm. For you guys in the US, the VAT is gone. So the price is 1600 SEK.

I can highly recommend the products from Anders & Andreas. THE TROPHY went directly into my full evening show and got great responses from the audience. The props are well made and if there are any questions they answer them quickly. I really love my Trophy.
