Is anyone here part of the Global Entry trusted traveler program?
If so, how long have you been in it? How was the interview process?

I'm not, but I'm going to be as soon as I get back to the states. A few of my colleagues who travel a lot for work are in the program, and they say it's awesome. Pre-9/11 style check-in: leave the shoes on, leave the liquids in your bag, and bypass lines.
We didn't discuss the details of the interview process, but the general word was that it was painless. |

Many of us at my company have bit. Hardest part about interview is scheduling one. It takes long time to get on their billet and can be done only at certain locations.

I am shocked at how few airports even use it.

I have been in six international airports over the past six weeks, and only one of them had an interview slot available.

People in our office are members, one of whom flies about 150,000 miles a year. The trick for him was getting in good with certain airlines too. His contact at American was able to help arrange it for him.

If you hit certain status with United Airlines they'll pay for it. So if you fly a lot with certain airlines check with them
