Hi I just built myself an easy busking table and wanted to share. It's a simple variation on the classic wooden busker table used by most folks doing the cups and balls. It only cost me $30, but could proably be done for even less. This might be to short for some tall guys but it works well for me.
I bought one of these folding laundry hampers and removed the bag. http://www.meijer.com/assets/product_ima......_400.jpg and paired it with a masonite canvas from an art store. I love the look and it's been increadbly functional. http://hgtv.sndimg.com/HGTV/2005/10/12/hclvr116_3a_lg.jpg |

Awesome! How tall is it?
I just built one really cheap out of a piece of ply wood, cloth, old picture frame, and a waiter stand from restaurant depot. Probably about $50 invested too, and that's only because I went with more expensive fabric and the fringe I glued around the edge was kinda pricey. The wait stand was only $23 though, from restaurant depot near my house. |

Bill Wood,
Any pictures of the finished product? VERY clever re-purposing of readily available materials. I built mine from scratch, similar to NeutronBomb's description of his project. After shopping for a tray jack, I eventually got mine for FREE by asking around at a restaurant that was closing down. One of these days I will post some pics & specs. |

Hey, I bought two of those laundry "hampers" in 1955. I made two tops that clipped together (for transportation) and made two red corduroy covers. I used them for YEARS in my school assembly program. The "hampers" were of aluminum tubing and came with wheels. In '55, the cost for both tables was less than $20. !!!
