I have been having my helper act as if she is taking photos or recording the performance off to the side....all while she is, in reality, thumping me.

That's a great idea - a phone held in the "camera" position is such a normalcy anywhere that no one would give it a second glance... Nice idea.

When using this App with your phone in pocket, a very useful iPhone feature is the IOS Guided Access (set up for Safari). This allows you to disable the hardware buttons and certain areas of the screen (i.e., the URL input and search buttons at the top of the screen, and the navigation buttons at the bottom). You can also lock the screen rotation just for Safari (there is no need to disable screen rotation globally). In this way, you can avoid accidentally navigating away from the SupaThump screen when fumbling with the phone in your pocket.
I found helpful details on how to set this up at http://igamemom.com/2013/02/20/how-to-lo......the-app/ Mike |

Man this is handy! I'll use this more for my nieces playing with my phone than with my magic apps ... but I like having the option when it arises. Thanks!
All small town magicians know what 793.8 signifies.

Thank you Michael Daniels,
What a great tip. Thank you for sharing that. If I may add to that idea. On the iPhone, you can use the Share button in Safari and use "Add to Home Screen" to make a thumper transmitter an icon on the home screen of your accomplice's (or your own) iPhone. When you use "Add to Home Screen", the navigation buttons and the address bar disappear from the user interface. So you can't accidentally hit them when you use a swipe thumper in your pocket. cheers, Greg Rostami |

I just realized that SupaThump is the longest range music remote ever. If you set up your tracks you can play any track from anywhere. Good for reliable opening and closing music for your show. Perhaps slide preset and two phones. Not sure if other over-net remotes are available.
