I'd like to play around a little with patinas, both with my clad Kennedy halves and some copper coins as well. Copper is simple enough, but having a more difficult time finding information on the others. Is there a way to darken Kennedy's to give that gorgeous dark/light definition - I can't find the posts, but you guys probably know what I am trying to refer to: this guy did a beautiful job on his walking halves and morgans... that is the effect I am after!
Isn't is sad when the mind starts to crumble ? |

For clad, the only thing I have found to work on clad coins (and it does it very well) is a product called "Blacken-It" (there's a companion product for other metals called "Patina-It"). "Blacken-It" does to clad coins what bleach (or whatever else may be used) does to silver coins.
Bleach, as I guess you have found, doesn't work on clad.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
