...that's what I thought when I came across this site. So rare these days to see forums filled with such well-intentioned, thought-provoking, and respectful discussion. My week of lurking has shown me that The Magic Café is a great example of the promise of Internet technology in action...a true community in every sense of the word.
Having recently returned to magic after many years, I've found that sometimes, perspective is everything. I'm learning things now that I just wasn't ready for as a kid. I'm approaching the art from an entirely new vantage point...and that's why I'm so excited about finding The Magic Café. I seem to have stumbled across a community in which amateur and professional magicians of every age and from every corner of the globe freely share their different perspectives on this deep art with a wonderfully simple (if unstated) goal: to help each other (as Eugene Burger puts it) grow in the art of magic. A great thing, and I'm excited to be a part of it. Mike
