Does anyone have video links for a lit cigarette flurry as part of a routine? Great admirer of the work done by Cellini, Max T Oz (unlit routine) and Jimmy Talksalot etc, certainly something you don't see much these days. Sonny Holliday's routine amazes me more each time I watch it, just wish I could find a better quality video.

My own routine has stagnated, and could use some pepping up. Keith Clark's Encyclopedia of Cigarette Tricks was my first magic book (sadly lost in a house fire....another story), and my stuff comes from that. I feel like I'm performing a series of sleights rather than a routine, goes down ok though.

I've spent hours trawling around Youtube but mostly seem to find disturbingly different Cyrils.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Routined Manipulation books. There are 2 volumes I THINK there are cigarette routines in both.

Thanks. Used to have Vol 1 and think there was a routine in it, don't remember the details. I downloaded Finale from Lybrary.com a while ago so I assume they have it.

If you come across any links for lit cigarette performances please let me know.

Here's a simple yet effective production by Vincent,
An up and coming Illusionist...You will be hearing some
great things about him very soon.

Thanks Devious. Vincent looks really smooth, any more of him about? I do a similar sequence, can't remember if it came from Clark or Mullica.

That's the sort of thing I like. I know "handwashing" isn't everyone's cup of tea, but used sparingly elevates your magic credentials in the eyes of a spectator.

Looks like juggling to me as well as angles would be a concern, I think the editing helps, I could see this on the street though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H7qcoJ3FCQ, but what the heck he si doing this for a group of kids?

Thanks again. Both interesting. I have a feeling I need to get a new copy of Clark's Encyclopedia, and go through the Mullica dvd's again.

Problem with Mullica is I end up getting a stitch laughing.....then have to go outside for a cigarette Smile

It was said he published this routine in Light My Fire Lecture notes. I cannot find it available, but if you post a requests I the Lets Make A Deal section of the Café maybe you will get lucky.

This is what you would be looking for:

Thanks Bill. As you say "Light My Fire" doesn't seem to be freely available, fortunately I have his "Quit Smoking" dvd which has this routine, not the vanishing pack as advertised. There are also a couple of bonus handlings on his website.

I'm using part of this, without the complete vanish of both cigarette and lighter at the end, before the lit part of my routine.

I use the Miser's Dream to draw and build my crowd, then do the cigarette routine. I'm avoiding multiple cigarette productions so it doesn't simply echo the Miser's Dream. At the moment I do use one fake which is thrown to the floor before the original lit cigarette comes back into play.

Maybe I'm trying to over complicate something that doesn't really need it. The weather is too bad in Wales right now to get out and experiment with an audience, so only time will tell.

If you can think of a lit cigarette sequence available to view anywhere please let me know. It would be much appreciated.

One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.

Sonny Holliday.....his routine is just amazing. Wish there were more clips of this quality.

Ordered the Keith Clark routine. Didn't realise that was still in print.

Thanks Kozmo, definitely working in the cig to mouth, hand to throat bit.
