I like the little I've seen of Bobo's teaching. Is there any difference between the hard and soft cover editions of Modern Coin.... besides cover and price?

I'd recommend the hardback if you can afford it. Apart from the extra chapters, the larger format is easier to read. You can see the full contents here:
