Some of the most visual magic comes in the form of "transformations". I love showing a coin in my right hand, waving my left hand over it revealing that it has transformed in to a Jumbo coin. Changing a red pen into a blue one in front of their eyes, etc. Let's face it. Simple transformations stimulate immediate attention, are ultra visual and illustrate to the spectator that we're the real deal right off the bat. I've been in search of resources that deal solely with "Transformations" with any/all objects. Is there such a DVD/book? Although my research came up with a few interesting hits, I feel I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. So I thought there was no better place to ask then here in the Café.
Thanks, Jeff |

Wow. Well then...guess I'll start making a "Transformations" dvd and put it on the market.

The problem is that it's mixing too many kinds of magic. While changing coins, cards, pens, and rabbits is nice to see for the audience, or even to learn for the magician, I don't really think a collections of transformations would be useful to magicians. Maybe to satisfy their curiosity. But as a cardician, I wouldn't change pens or coins...

I would make the theme of the DVD "Transformations" and divide it in to sections.
i.e - Card, coins, small objects, etc. I believe there is room to incorporate trasformations in all fields of magic. |
