Hi I originally posted this on a different forum and was directed here. My question is where can I find places where I can practice performing to laymen in a similar environment to that of table hopping or walkaround

I have done table hopping in retirement homes. You might try local college student unions.

Check with your Fire Department. With the Fire Chief's permission you may be able to go to the fire stations and perform. The firemen would be a captive audience with an uncertain schedule that you would have to work with, but they would probably appreciate a free performance and certainly deserve it.

Not sure if I would recommend any tricks with fire though!
