After much searching I've come up with two sources of Blacken it in Canada:

http://www.niagaracentralhobbies.com/

http://www.hornethobbies.ca

I ordered and received a bottle from Niagara central; cost me $22 including shipping to the east coast.

Hope this helps someone.

What is Blacken It used for? By magicians I mean.

Its used for darkening coins so that they would have more contrast and appear more visual. Most coin magicians just like the nice 'aged' look.

This stuff is magic in a bottle! Works great on clad coins as well as copper - I just darkened up a few halves and wow, do they look good! Going to try a Morgan copy next.

Hmm....is it possible to post pics here ? I'll have a look at the FAQ, and if so, I'll take a shot to share with anyone interested.
