After much searching I've come up with two sources of Blacken it in Canada:

What is Blacken It used for? By magicians I mean.

Its used for darkening coins so that they would have more contrast and appear more visual. Most coin magicians just like the nice 'aged' look.

This stuff is magic in a bottle! Works great on clad coins as well as copper - I just darkened up a few halves and wow, do they look good! Going to try a Morgan copy next.
