Depends on how self lighting you want it to be.
Does it have to be in full view unlit, and then bust into flames? I pull lit matches out of my pockets, etc all of the time. The method is pretty easy and I can share it in a PM. Also there is a self lighting cigarette (I dont remember the name of it) where the cigarette is just sitting there, and suddenly is lit, and which you could use the same "gimmick/method" to light a match. is it possible to just light a match from a distance, thus without touching it?

I dont know of a way to spontaneously light an unprepared match without touching it.
Having said that; the key words are "spontaneously" , and "unprepared." Without those constraints, there are a couple of methods that I can think of to do that. But they all take some preparation. (Cant go into the specifics of them here. But you PM me for more info) Brodavid
