Does anyone know the name of Al's effect wherein he has someone reach in to a bag, take out ANY amount of change, then he himself does the same thing pulling out exactly the same amount of change.
He repeats this again, only this time he goes first and predicts that the spec will take out the same amount of money (she does, of course). Many thanks. |

The Trick that fooled that famous scientist.

I believe you are thinking of the "Jackpot Coins" plot.
A few sources... The Trick That Fooled Einstein- Barrie Richardson: Theater of the Mind. Little Jackpot Coins- Barrie Richardson: Theater of the Mind. Correct Change- Jon Racherbaumer: At The Table A Matter of Debit and Credit- Unknown/Hillard: Greater Magic If you find one of these, drop me a PM and I will share my own handling "Coin Collection" with you. Many thanks to everyone!
What a great group we have. I have Mr. Richardson's book in my library but I never read the effect because I disliked the title (sorry Mr. Richardson). It sure sounds like a great effect on Al Koran's dvd. |

One comment on this effect: Don't do it for bankers or accountants. They will suss the method in a New York minute.
At least they did with me on four separate occasions. Scientists tend to overthink stuff, making them easy to fool. Accountants simply count the money and come up with the method. at least, that's been my experience. Be advised! Lee Darrow, C.Ht. http://www.leedarrow.com
