MatCult, I don't really have an issue, I was simply curious about others' experiences and perceptions

I am totally satisfied and I thought that somewere back Prof BC addressed that his efforts would produce books that match almost exactly the tone, ageing and imperfections, etc of his original edition copies, and that the original books, and therefore, the Dopps, would differ in tone, color of page paper, etc.
I will not know how layman specs will react until my first performance,...so I will see. I also agree as above that contacting the good Prof BC is the way to go on this before everyone starts dunkingnthe Dopps in black tea...just MHO.

Only on this forum could someone ask the question "Is my Doppleganger too pale?" and get sensible answers.
 "She's my cousin, but doesn't she look exactly like Laura Palmer?"

The ageing of her teeth however is very well done.

This exact question is covered in the performance manual.
The pages are aged to imitate exactly the originals in Prof BC's collection. Not every old book looks like it has been steeped in tea, only those that were printed on cheap paper originally look thus. Darkly Dan |

Very true!
I'm extremely pleased with the books and as a matter of fact I don't think I'll expose them to sunlight: there's so heat on them anyway (no pun intended).

My Dopps are off limits....under the Christmas tree....
I've held off on posting as it would just be a lot of " Yeah! Sounds cool....", mixed in with jealous mumbling toward those that are using theirs. |

Same here. Tree mode and no reading past page 30.
It has been difficult but while waiting I studied and worked further with GH*ST. Tis the season for Mr. James after all. |

Would love to particpate, but somehow despite ordering as soon as the paypal buttons went live on the Lebanon Circle website, I still have to wait until 2nd of Jan before my order is even sent. So I'm not going to shed a tear for you folks who have to wait until Xmas day to get yours.
Yours covetously, Brynmore |

We'll keep some seats open and logs on the fire in The Haunted Library in preparation for each of your arrivals.
