I posted this before, but years ago we stayed at the Jerome Grand Hotel in Jerome, AZ, which has a ghost tour, and then they let you borrow the equipment and go on your own. So a bunch of people -- cued by the staff about readings around the stairwell -- gathered there, and sure enough, the EMF meters went off the scale. I told Donna, but didn't have the heart to tell the others that the meters were picking up the magnetic field from the automatic fire-door closers. It was a fun place, though. On Danny's post about the investigators, I always got a chuckle out of "Ghost Adventures" when the guys would go OMG every time they thought they saw or heard something. Granted, that was to cue the TV audience, but still, why are you looking for something if you're afraid to find it? Ahhhh, "reality TV."

I remember one thing... They were at a house and the leader called for "absolute" radio silence. They had all ther equipment in place and were wandering about when all of a suden the leader guy goes "aaahhh something kicked me!!!" The he radioed the truck and said "Mark the time for EMF!"
So they go back and check the EMF graph on the computer. There is a flat line and then one spike that goes thru the roof...at the time he asked to mark. "See I told you I was kicked! Major activity here!" Like the use of a radio didn't cause a spike on EMF graph...

It does seem like a smart move to make when listing a house to actually get more interest in it. I remember when I was house hunting our agent gave us a brochure listing the things that are appropriate to ask to the selling owners and the ones that aren't (like the ethnicity of the neighbors). Among the things that the brochure said are kosher to ask is if any ghosts are known to inhabit the facility. So I guess the question comes up in the house market more often than one would think.
