Hi guys, I am looking for a source for octogonal plastic bar stock 5/8" thick or there about, if you know where I can find this materiel please let me know. I can use aluminum, stainless steel, Brass and a couple of others but the materiel must be bar or rod stock about 6' feet long.

Hexagonal is easy to find. Octagonal, not so much. I found a few places through a Google search, but the minimums were prohibitive. Good luck!

Looking like I am going to have to make the whole thing from scratch.

Try to contact a shop where they sell classic(!) curtains.
They sell "glass" rods to open and close these curtains.
Perhaps?!
