Thanks for the story link Ellen.
Harry Anderson is one of my all time favorite entertainers. Harry recently attended one of our shows here in Austin TX. He is an incredibly generous and gracious man. He went on and on about how lucky I was to have my own theatre. I guess when you’re Harry Anderson; you make your own luck. Ray Ray |

He's calling it Oswald's Speak Eay. Oswald is a poor choice for a name considering Pres. Kennedy.

I seriously doubt that a good guy like Harry Anderson would name a magic theater "Oswald's" after Lee Harvey Oswald. If anyone knows Anderson or his reps, please contact them and ask them just where he got the name, and please post it here before any dumb rumors start. Thanks.

I would like to believe it is a tribute to Oswald the Magician.
Secondly, remember the card trick by Nick Trost, Oswald. I just think the place is geared toward comedy and Oswald can be considered a funny name from the old days. Other, people just like to think of the extreme. It is disappointing that Harry Anderson has elected to not make his experiences available to the magic society. I think his life would be a wonderful learning experience for young magicians. Lastly, Harry lives his character so well, I don't believe anyone will really know the truth from the character. Harry Anderson has enough magic that I guess he can put on a magic experience of this nature. Bill |

Nope. Just heard IT IS Lee Harvey. They commented, "Who else?"

What does this mean? Teaching or something?? He is very open and happy to demonstrate his illusions in New Orleans, and other ones when I was purchasing or just even looking. Very accommodating. Ellen,
Last year I fell apon your site as a tribute to Harry Anderson. It is really nice how much you think of him and you are not a magician. Are you? What I meant is, he does not attend magic conventions, have a web site, write a book on his "real" experiences in show business. You know just be out there and available. At Abbott's Get-together we have seen attendes from the Partridge Family, Harry Blackstone, Jr., etc. for example. Bill |

Ah..I see.
I am not a magician but a lover of magic and a collector of Harry's illusions. I also enjoy sideshow history--which made me flip when I heard they were opening up a shop devoted to it! I have been a fan for more than half my life...wow. so, this year it will be a 20 year FANage. Anyway--I agree it might be interesting seeing him at conventions or getting his "real" experiences in a book--but I don't think that's his way. He's a very nice man and I am happy to have met him--and try to visit at least once a year. Thanks Ellen |
