I am planning to make an effect using a dummy birthday cake. Does anyone know what existing effects are there on this matter? To my knowledge, all I am aware is the Cake in Hat and Foam Cake in Dove Pan. I haven't seen any latex cakes and such.

1)Try making a Square Circle prop which the cake can fit in.
2) Try making a Sucker Sliding Die Box. At the end a cake appears inside amazing everyone. 3) Walk out with a tray three times the size of a cake. Make sure you have the tray facing the audiences. I am sure you know what it magnetized/glued to the back side. Drape a foulard over the tray. The same time turn the tray up. Remove the foulard showing the cake. |

Wack-o-magic also makes a rubber birthday cake:
http://www.wack-o-magic.com/rubbercake.html (I also saw it on the Hocus Pocus website.) ----------------------- At one time, there was a trick available where you would show a box empty, and then produce a real cake from it. I think it worked on a tip-over trunk principle, but I'm not 100% sure of that. - Donald
