Is it just me or are some spammers deliberately making their messages ridiculous. I just received this:
Quote:
FROM: THE LOTTERY COORDINATOR A Mother Theresa lottery? What do you think? Is this just an inside joke? Or are they somehow salving their consciences by giving obvious clues to the potential victims? It's funny, but not too.
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.--Yeats |

John- You just went and disqualified yourself by posting that here! Now everyone will be trying to get your prize!
Prince Bright will not be pleased. I love that his email address is at outlook.com That's the free Microsoft email that was the successor to hotmail. I'm sure all of the major world lotteries use it. (So I guess Prince Bright won't be able to sign up for the Café.) |

I think it's their logic to up their potential hits by appealing to both greedy and the religion-minded. ("I've been praying for money and this is definitely a sign!!")
It wouldn't be a lot different had it been a "save the puppies" lottery. I've had them sent to me from names such as, Mr. Goodluck, and junk like that. Buzz words to snag a few more suckers. Just be content with your intelligence.

The funny part is that they spelled Mother Teresa's name wrong. It's Teresa, not Theresa.
But this one has been around for a while it seems: http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/pr......resa.php |

I don't see how anybody can question its authenticity. She signed here real name, for goodness' sake! What scam artist would do that? And gave her title: THE LOTTERY COORDINATOR. THE LOTTERY COORDINATOR. Not just any old LOTTERY COORDINATOR; THE LOTTERY COORDINATOR.
And then what do you do? You make it public, disqualifying yourself. I always thought that you were intelligent, John, but this utter blunder has me questioning that. |

I got that too! Just cant stop the money pouring in...only a few weeks ago a widow promised me her late husband's (a general, nothing less!) fortune of 15,000,000 $ (fifteen million US dollars). Wow I am loving the internet!

Online scammers have for quite some time now injected the religious angle into their offerings. After all, a good person of faith would never victimize someone else.

No it isn't just you.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

That's a fun site. Its been a few years since I visited, but I remember someone calling a scammer in Nigeria, and the guy who was scamming the scammer had a bunch of recorded Arnold Schwarzenegger phrases ready to go, and the whole conversation - all 2-3 minutes of it - was pretty funny.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
