This looks like a great value. Dan puts a lot of thought into handling and presentation.

Uh, that link you posted is for a Bicycle Jumbo Deck, not a Bicycle Jumbo Invisible Deck. Of course, you could buy that deck and make your own. And interesting way of not saying anything negative about Dan, by the way.
Buy the package, or don't buy it. What a thing for people to get worked up over. Joe Libby San Antonio, TX

Quote: That is true, but it is countered with this nugget. A deck that big is like no deck most people have ever seen let alone handled. Which leads to the obvious conclusion... "I bet there is something sneaky about those cards."

Anyone concerned about using jumbo decks, might I sugest the Card-Shark's Phoenix Parlor Invisible Decks? I use them busking and with the larger faces, they are perfect for good sized audiences.
This isn't the I.D. but you can see the face sizes http://youtu.be/uQFSeQ58UkU?t=2m49s Here is a chart to compare face sizes of the parlor to poker http://www.card-shark.de/bilder/Phoenix%......hart.pdf |

Dan:
Got this as a gift and love it! Thanks for the ideas. I understand your demo was to an imaginary audience, and that's not an easy thing to do and make convincing. But it demonstrated it very well, and I enjoyed it, and will enjoy the deck. I always have trouble with the regular deck with dry fingers, and licking my fingers never seemed to be proper in front of a group! This deck makes it very easy. Thank you again Dan. Tom |

Great news! We just posted a LIVE performance of Dan's stage routine straight from a REAL LIVE SHOW he did a few weeks ago!
It's the second demo video on this page: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/3970 What a rock-solid, well thought-out, commercial routine. Bravo, Dan! |

Has anyone made the bag?
I would love some dimensions, etc. I have a roll of brown craft paper, but I'm not sure quite how to start with that…maybe I'm not quite as crafty as Dan!

I've just purchased the deck from Penguin and I'm awaiting the deck to arrive. I've watched the download and I like the handling and presentation.
After reading through some of the comments, I've come up with an idea to introduce the ID without having to use the word starting with I that rhymes with inadmissible. Not that I care if someone goes home and googles how the trick was done but this will get around that for sure. The idea comes from another illusion I found in JC Sums book "Pack flat Illusions for kids and family shows" ...it's called the gift box...I believe it was also published in the linking ring under the name Girl to Doll back in 2002. Without tipping the method, you bring out a gift wrapped box and tell whoever is celebrating an event or milestone in the audience, you have got them a little something. You open the gift box and produce their very own deck of playing cards....that apparently only you can see. With this illusion, you can turn the box upside down, shake it with 2 hands and really prove the box is empty after you take out their deck (which of course is invisible, but we never use that word right?) You then follow Dans presentation and as a nice little finisher, you shrink the jumbo deck and hand the audience member a brand new deck signed by you with your business card sticky taped to the back. If anyone has a method for having their selected card actually appear in their new regular deck around the wrong way please PM me....that'd be seriously cool. Anyway, just an idea.....nice work Dan. |
