I've opened a few decks of Bicycle Dragon Back cards, and they don't seem to come with double-backers anymore. I get two ad cards, which each have the back design on them. All my decks were bought at Walgreens, as that's the only place I've seen them where I live. I did go to two different stores, but had the same results from both.
Anyone have information on this? I see posts from less than a year ago that mention the double-backers, so did I just barely miss the train? Michael |

I contacted Marty "Martini" Grams, and he made me some red/gold double backers for an excellent price. He can work up anything you need.

Thanks, Chessmann, that's definitely an option. Do you use Dragon Backs as your regular deck? I didn't care for the blue "red cards" of the blue deck, but I love the deep red and recolored court cards of the red deck. Does the Gold Dragon deck have identical faces to the Red Dragon?

I love the look of Dragon backs and use them for more casual (friends/family/coworker) settings. I made a couple of double backers out of the ad cards and that suits my needs pretty well.

I use the red and gold - never the blue, as I don't care for the blue pips.

Another vote for gluing 2 cards together. - better than a short card, but like anything else, how will it be used.

The dragon backs from 2010 had the db but I noticed my decks from 2011 and later do not.

Card stripping is discussed in Expert Card Technique, but I didn't think any one did did that any more. I am keen to make a few Tally-Ho DBs out of the (relatively fresh) jokers of used decks. Les |

Martini's DVD is a great dvd to learn how to split and make your own gaffs.
I just made my own double backers, and a few other double facers for McD's Aces. |
