I was asked by a college professor if I would present on magic to a class of psychology majors at a New York college. Can anyone point me to some good literature or resources for this? I was thinking of possibly addressing the topic of misdirection, or the fallibility of human perception, but I don't want it to be too complex and I'm looking for examples I can perform and explain. I'm seeking something simple and short enough that it would fit within a 25-30 minute timeframe. Any help is greatly appreciated, as this is for next week!!
Thanks for any leads!! Marc |

The book "Sleight of Mind" might be just the thing.

On the youtube you can find Quircology videos, maybe that what you need.

Watch/read some Derren Brown, especially on psychological forces and misdirection. Psychs eat that up.

I know personally of one psychology teacher who taught a unit on perception and deception using magic and I bet there are or have been others. A search of high school psychology lesson plans might be a starting point. Keep in mind that the type of presentation you are talking about will almost have to involve exposure even if minimal.
