What's really bad is that they've done this prank before. When Back to the Future II was released I remember seeing fake news stories about the Hoverboard having been made and that four were released but recalled due to injuries. But it was a publicity hoax for the movie.

That video is a scam! I found it considerably harder to assimilate to the feeling of actually floating and the responsiveness of the board. Took a solid two days to just be able to cruise on it, and that's not trying any tricks.

Well I wasted two days. Just downloaded the app and can concur. It does wonders in lateral stabilization and allows settings into the upper ranges for board sensitivity.
Thanks for the heads up on the app. I guess the trailer really is for real after all. |
