I'm new to billet work. This would be my first video on the topic. Can someone direct me to specifics on the paper that he is using? First, what size/weight index cards? Next, the newsprint paper: cut to what size or is it available in a pad? Pulp paper? What's that? What do I look for when purchasing? Is it available by the pad? Finally, what is that pad that he has? Is that a newsprint pad/pulp pad? If so, where do I get something like that?
Thanks in advance. Oh, if anyone uses other materials than the ones he's using, and you think it's valuable information, I'm all ears. Thanks! |

Pulp paper is basically the same as newsprint or cheap white construction/doodling paper. Sometimes it is available in 3X5 pads. They are sometimes called pulp pads because they're made from recycled paper. The nice thing about it is that it tears very easily but is also opaque. For the one-handed center tear you'll find that adding machine or receipt paper works very well, too. |

I always get mine from places like WalMart. When they have them I always buy at least a dozen. When they don't, I just buy large "Doodle" pads and cut the paper to size.
Wish I could give you an online source, but I don't know of any. Best- Bob |

This one hour video is absolutely packed with great ideas, methods, tips on billet work, envelopes, wallets, and more. An amazing bargain for $20.
It would be great to see Billet Killers turned into a series of video lectures. I like the video format much better than audio only recorded conference calls. |

Not to beat a dead horse, but I felt obligated to contribute my own review of this download. I was fairly reluctant to purchase this download at first due to the fact that I could not find any specifications as to what was included in the video. This ID was actually my first time purchasing any of Bob's work, although, I am familiar with many of his performances.
Billet Killers is well worth the $20 it costs on Penguin, whereas, it not only covers billet switches and peeks; Bob goes on to talk about various peek wallets, a bank night routine, and a bonus card routine for stage. My personal favorites from this download were Bob's center tear - and I HATE center tears - and his tutorial for creating your own s***i gimmick, which is well worth the price of the download on its own. Once you are familiar with Bob's techniques with billets that he discusses in this download, you can adapt various routines based off of his performances on YouTube as I have. Thank you very much for this contribution, Bob; it will definitely be beneficial toward the development of my act. - Thaddius |
