Nice.
If you have a xylophone under you a tune can be played. Thanks for sharing the joy of your practice. Joy is contagious. Though I have spent zero time on the C/P I have spent a bit of Time on the coin rolls. Be safe well and creative in sharing your joy. Harris Still too old to know it all

Hey, so this is a really big pet peeve of mine.
It really doesn't matter how invisible the pass is if you put your hands in an extremely awkward position to do it. It looks amazing, but the fact that you cover the deck with your whole hand in order to do it just screams out to me. Then again, that is coming from a magicians point of view, but that is the kind of thing that I think most magicians should pay more attention to. I'm gonna quote from Tommy Wonder's book of Wonder here. "The other possibility is that the method isn't actually seen, but it is "telegraphed" by one's actions. The audience might not see the card palmed, but they detect some nervousness on the performer's part, some unnatural movement, whatever which tells them that something underhanded is going on."..."In such a situation, the spectators may or may not fully understand the correct method involved, but they certainly know that something was going on. This, for most people, is enough to conclude that they are seeing through the trick, and I agree with them. They do know for certain that some trickery has been practiced, and consequently what has been done is not real magic. They have caught the magician deceiving them, and that is more than enough." (The Books of Wonder Vol. 1, page 248-249) Just something to think about. |

. hello smile.. amd thank you I kinda dun like the position neither xD.
but I have something here I have been thinking arround for a time.. For me the grip doesn't care a lot ..the mos important thing is the acttitude if you have an attitude of look man I'm going to make something that is bad even if you make an ultra invusible pass. well here I have an attitude of look man I'm doing the pass... but in performances is not mi artitude... for me the pass is more a thing of attitude and confidence. and I always try to do it in an open attitude ..so I'm DIRECTING the atenttion to mi comunnication with the auddience and remember for an audoence point of view ass long as you are confortable with the cards... it doesn't care if you put a finger on top or bottom... because they DO NOT KNOW wich is the correct way of hold the deck. YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM WICH IS WITH YPUR ATTITUDE ... if you are holding the cards with an ultra strange grip but your attitude is..lool man this is the best way to hold the deck ... trust me I live with the cards in mi hand (then they dun have any choice but to assume thasts right) for example I dunno the correct and most effective way of trowing a bouling ball and I assume that its with the 3 fingers in the holes..but if a pro player tell me that is bwtter to put yust 2 then I will trust him. That is why the biddle grip (used on a pass) the ascanio , the elmsley , and a lot more WORKS. BECAUSE THEY ASSUME THAT THAT IS THE BEST WAY OF DOING THOSE THINGS . hope this help someone Nicolas Pierri
