I saw someone selling left-handed thumb tips in the for-sale section of the Café today, so I of course inquired into whether or not he happens to have any left-handed silks to go with those tips. Todsky's electric fence posting in here was also a perfect transition to this posting.

All this got me thinking about what could potentially be a fun topic for this Little Darlings section. We are always discussing in here all the common kids magic props we know and love, but I never here much about the "hard to find" imaginary items.

So I propose that we start a list here of all the kids magic props the we wish were more readily available, or that we would love to see invented if our imagination or audiences had no limits!

For example, I really wish magic dealers would start selling Bottom Streamers for us more animated children's entertainers. Mouth coils are nice, but I honestly believe that many kids nowadays just won't be truly impressed until we can bend over and start pulling endless multi-color streamers out the other end.

How about an oversized sculpture of a hand for the old "pull my finger" routine?

A portable trap-door, one you could just take out of your bag and lay on the stage floor, open up and disappear into. Could be very useful...

... along with portable holes. I first saw one of those in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" I have been searching ever since.

I once made a portable hole.

Why you ask?

I "felt" like it.

May the groans begin now.

I understand that the Acme company sells different types of portable holes, designated by letters. The "B" holes work pretty well, but a lot of people have problems with the "A" holes.

How about a 5# bag of woofle dust? I ran out of it when I was a kid and never used it again.

Filters and ethics in our on and off line presence.

My wife, likes it when I don't use the last line in the baby blues song. (in a nearby little darling thread.

I include...

harmonica riff...
I looked at my diaper
it was know fun
something was oozing out the corner.

filter on...pause...you fill in the rest..or know I can't do that line....

or I go ahead with the line as shown in the video link.

The bit works as well either way.

Every one I have ever seen has been stuffed/mounted. The lives ones must be quite evasive. Planning on doing the Four Jack-a-lopes card Trick?
