I've always been a big fan of Jeremy's rope routine but never got around to ordering for some reason. Got an email from Viking this week that they are now carrying it so I placed my order. Super fast shipping by George as usual. The trick comes with dvd instructions that contain the competition act, a walking knot, and two versions of professor's nightmare. Also comes with some really cool rope. Mine came with rope that is yellow and pink braided together. Hard to describe but it's a little thicker than quality magician's rope and the color pattern makes it super visual. I like the rope.
The routine is probably best described as a combination of some Tabary moves and Bob Little's ultra visual 3 to 1 rope routine. I've always loved Bob's routine but the ropes were gimmicked in such a way that it was difficult to do anything other than a short professor's nightmare routine before going into the ultra visual 3 to 1 finale. (As Bob always said, "don't do this standing next to a microphone stand.") Jeremy has eliminated some of the gimmicks but maintained the highly visual ending. The gimmicks Jeremy uses also make the Tabary moves very clean and open. Go and watch the demo to see how visual his competition routine is. Essentially he starts with one rope then it instantly splits into three unequal pieces. He then stretches them so they are all equal. He then restores 2 into one and ties that one into a loop. The loop then gets visibly eaten by the remaining rope. So you are left with a long piece with a knot. He blows the knot off and is left holding one long rope. Confusing to put into words but it's a 60 second visual journey that starts with one long rope and ends with one long rope...and a lot of magic in between. The ropes come in a nice plastic tube so you can keep them looking good in transport. I like this routine a lot and highly recommend it. |

Eric,
Where is Jeremy's web site? I have used his Ultimate CSB Magic site but that seems to be in a state of disrepair; none of the menu links are live. I haven't found another web site for Jeremy. Thanks! Jim |
