The S. A. M. Parent Assembly #1's annual "Salute to Magic" will be held this year on Saturday, May 17 in Queens, NY. It's a great show headlined by Jeff McBride with a strong slate of other magicians. Sol Stone will be honored as Magician of the Year. All the details are included below:
105th Annual Salute to Magic Commemorating the 50th & 75th Anniversaries of the 1964 & 1939 World’s Fairs Queens Theatre May 17, 2014, 8:00 p.m. With performances by magicians: Jay Scott Berry (Master of Ceremonies) Joe and Bronwyn Devlin Jeff McBride (Headliner) David Oliver and Kamarr (who performed in Mark Wilson’s Hall of Magic at the 1964 World’s Fair) Sol Stone Honored as Magician of the Year Pre-Show and Intermission Close-Up Performances by Members of the Society of Young Magicians The Salute to Magic is the world’s longest-running annual magic show, presented in New York since 1909 by the Society of American Magicians, Parent Assembly Number 1. The Salute has featured performances by many of the world’s greatest magicians, including Houdini, Dai Vernon, Cardini, Dunninger, Dante, and Adelaide Hermann. Today it continues to showcase innovative magicians who have made their mark on the world of magic.
