While going back through one of my favorite books, Chapter 1, I watched the commentary for Out of the blue (or red) In it he was describing a method wherehe could estimate what card the spectator thoughtof while riffling through the deck. Does anyone know what this move is? Thanks

"The New York Papers," Mark Twain once said,"have long known that no large question is ever really settled until I have been consulted; it is the way they feel about it, and they show it by always sending to me when they get uneasy. "

If I understand what you are asking there is no "move". What he recommends in the written explanation of the effect is since it is a mem-deck, you know the general area in which the card resides so it should be an easy matter to begin riffling just before where you believe the card to be. You do that by estimation. Otherwise you end up riffling all the way through the deck which is not optimal.
It's never crowded on the extra mile....
