Hey there all! I was looking at Taiwan Ben's Appearing Metal Canes and Vanishing Metal Canes. I wanted to purchase better Canes then I already have. Are these canes good quality? I am a student so I can't afford any Mahka Tendo canes unfortunatly otherwise that would be my first purchase but I was wondering if both Taiwan Ben's vanishing and appearing canes are worth my purchase? They are like $46.50 on Penguin Magic and I am looking to purchase them but before I do I was wondering if there is anything better then this around the same price. Also I guess I was also thinking of getting a UltraCane Appearing cane from by Bond Lee which is also on Penguin Magic. It looks pretty legit and its also around the same price. Since I am a student, are anyone of these options a smart choice for my money?

Hey there all! I was looking to replace all my silks for better quality, durable silks that can be used in my canes. Obviously we know that canes can really be rough on your silks so I wanted to get some good quality ones for the purpose of vanishing and appearing canes. I have a UltraCane appearing cane(Metal) from Penguin Magic, A vanishing and appearing cane from Taiwan Ben's line of Canes(Metal) also purchased from Penguin Magic and lastly the Fantasio Triple Color Change canes(Plastic). Since you have both Ultra cane by Bond Lee and Taiwan Ben`s cane why don`t you compare it yourself and see what do you like best. Since you are a student if you don`t perform magic for money spending on magic props is not the smartest choice but 99% of us here have done just that and most of us in time when there was no magic forum, internet or online reviews of magic props in brick and mortar magic shops. If there is such a shop in your area go there and test props yourself. None of us can tell you if Fakini balls would be better option for YOU than JL balls or much lighter Jupiter balls just because some of us prefer one of those brands. I didn`t work with Taiwan Ben`s canes but I like Bond`s canes and I personally used it long before it was on the market. Great quality compared to any other cane not only those in that price range. regards, Bojan Barisic www.bojanbarisic.com |

Jeez, the appearing cane instruction is god awful for someone who has never used a cane before. Any tips on the release so it doesn't look like it is growing out of my hands.

To add more info, I looked for videos for appearing canes. None of the ones I found have a cane configured like the my Taiwan Ben cane. The cane is in two pieces -- the main body with a screw eye opposite the tip and a separate cap with a similar screw eye. Neither of these screw eyes swivel/rotate as I see in some of the canes in the videos I found. If anyone has the link to the instructional online video, it they could pm it to me I would be grateful.
BTW, I contacted the seller via their web contact then also via email mentioning the absence of the instructional video. No reply as of yet. I searched their website to see if they had activated a link in my downloads section, but, alas, none was there. |

The effect being, the cane turns into a scarf in each hand. Vanishing Cane promo video: This comes with a instructional DVD! Taiwan Ben's website is suppose to be www.wizardhq.com but it does not go there. |

I suggest you contact the place you purchased the cane from and tell them they sent the wrong product, and you want the correct Appearing Cane and your DVD.
If you purchased with PayPal, then file for a refund of your money. Here is Taiwan Ben's Appearing Cane promo video. Here is Taiwan Ben's Facebook Page. https://www.facebook.com/taiwanbenmagic?ref=br_rs |

You need 18", color your choice. I don't recommend diamond cut for the canes.
