You write "These are not banjo pick style!" as if that is a major feature. The fact is that the so-called "banjo pick" writer, which is my creation, is vastly superior to the standard Haden style band writer.
I wouldn't have posted at all, but it really angered me that you felt it necessary to demean my creation to promote your product. And twenty-five dollars per writer? You can get FIVE Dr. Crow writers for the same price. They have stability and control superior to any standard band writer. |

After a thread in inner thoughts it's no secret that I am a massive advocate of the Dr. Crow writer. I have to say that after seeing the pictures of these band writers, I would imagine that the Dr. Crow writers are a lot more stable, and a lot easier to get on and into a comfortable position fast. As for value, I think people are always looking for plug and play these days. Set aside a little time to acquire the bits and 'Bobs' and a little more making up a few and you will see that you can depend on yourself to make your props and get them for next to nothing at the same time. I always make my own props, if every magic shop on the planet shut down tomorrow my show would not have to change one jot. There is a comfort in security like that.

Again, I have nothing against any other style of writer and wouldn't have mentioned anything at all on this thread but for the fact that the OP decided to use the phrase "banjo pick style" as a pejorative, both here and on the other identical threads he's started in different areas of the Café.

Dr. Bob. Anyone that knows me, knows I have the highest respect for you. The description was certainly NOT meant to knock your idea, but to clarify the difference. Many seemed to think your idea is the only style. I in fact have used your design for years. Sorry you felt an unintended insult.

I made my very first dr crow writer the other day. I absolutely love it. Still need to get better at mixing paint to match my skin and need to find some pencil lead sized eyelets but I love my Dr Crow grease writer. Going to make a finger one for PW, that will take no time, won't even need painting.
