Hi all, here's an illusion where I thought it was a camera trick, but realized perhaps it's not as I've seen some street Magicians do it, and starting to spread.
BOILING WATER WITHOUT FLAME. I've seen Magicians using it in noodle tricks especially and others. Heres an example: From: 2:50 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pasd5OItHxI I've been searching for it for years, may anyone help guide me if this is available ? I really wish something like this exists or if anyone can guide me to any Book/DVD that uses this concept ? I believe it is associated with a certain element in science but I could be wrong. Thanks anyways. |

http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=218 Hope this helps. This is science and not a trick for sale. Free to all. Very few know about it. I get good results from it when people see steam coming out of the noodles. Only buy the latest generation stuff. It gets very hot when you add water and is non-toxic. Not for children. |

Thank you so much txshepherd, this has helped a lot. But can it be used for noodles and used lets say like in the video I posted it's link above ? Does the audience see it being processed, feeling the heat, and seeing the smoke come out ? I guess the only thing left to work on is which way would opening the can of noodles be that would seem to the spectator as if it was brand new.
Also other than Noodles, I gotta find some applications for this..... I don't know, frozen stuff if possible. Hope this is practical, IM IN LOVE with effects like these that use food items & drink and apperantly produce food for your spectators from nothing or a seemingly borrowed object. Thanks again tkxshepherd . |

The latest generation stuff shows the specs reach approx 200 F and is non toxic. The old stuff would not get this hot and was more toxic. The link I provided is good stuff.
I pour the powder of 2 packs in the bottom of noodles then put the noodles back in the cup. I seal the lid with some double back tape about every half inch, just to make it look sealed. I put the cup back in its little cardboard package. How to do it.... Pour in just enough water to cover the stuff at the bottom by a little bit. In about 1-2 minutes steam starts coming out and builds up for a while. It last for about 4 minutes. The steam can burn your fingers, so this is not for children. Spectators can feel the heat, see the steam and smell the spices fill the room. Very nice. It gets good reactions from people if you put your smart phone near the cup and run an app that shows a burning camp fire. It is silly, but when the steam comes out, it really blows peoples mind. LOL |

Is the powder necessary ? And does the powder come with every cup or what ? So You can only perform this depending on the number of powder packs available ? If you don't mind clarifying this I would appreciate it, thank you
I PM'd you by the wway ! |

Also does it heat up/boil in 1-2 minutes ? Or does it take longer than that ?

Thanks a lot for sharing your method, txshepherd!
TheMagicalMan, I think he talks about the powder found in the camping heat packs... the product link given comes in the form of small bags with "heating powder" inside... add water and it will heat, so if you put the powder inside the noodles cup prior to performance, by adding water in the cup it will boil and therefore cook the noodles. Also, you have to be aware that the powder is not safe to eat (the heating bags are not to be opened in normal use...), so you cannot eat the noodles after that (well I guess you can trade "cup examinable" for "eadible noodles" if you really want to ). I hope it helps |

Thanks for sharing txshepherd!
Now, what about the refilling water bottle? That was pretty awesome too! KJ |

The latest generation heating powder heats up to about 200 F. The process of steam showing itself after you pour in a little water takes about 1-2 min. The illusion is you have very hot steam and cooking noodles, from cold tap water.
Even though the powder is non-toxic, if you buy the new generation powder, do not eat the noodles. You can dispose of them in the regular trash. If you get some powder on your skin, wash it off immediately with running water (this trick is not for children). You can also pour some powder into coffee and cause it to bubble with steam. You will need to add cream or chocolate to match any powder that comes to the surface, so you can keep the secret hidden. Enjoy |
