OMG... Thank you MR Effecto for PMing me what you were talking about but I was aware that that information was on the dvd and it does NOT make carrying this practical and safe at all... I was all excited that I had somehow missed something very important... The problem isn't the preparation falling off... It's the preparation "warping and damaging itself" at the loose end from being in your pocket and from trying to get the gaff into position with one hand without looking. I stand by what I said before; I don't think this is very practical because of carrying it around and getting the gaff into the proper position secretly.

Your welcome. I don't know why this is any diff than getting any gaff coin into play. But I understand. Its easy for me. Mybe not for people that don't play with coins that much..............But really would not take long at all to make this look really good. I like it alot. Super easy.

If I could speak openly about the gaff then I could explain exactly why this is not practical to me. Truly I do not understand why you don't understand what I'm talking about if you own this. It's not about not being used to handling coins, I'm adept at coin magic. This isn't just a coin, it's a coin with a fragile preparation.

Like the look of it unfortunately here in Spain we don't have any silver coins.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

So , I am pretty happy with my purchase . Everything went out smoothly . The coin is well made . I am not really sure why some are complaining the set up is fragile . For me , I followed their instruction and I find that I can place the coin with the set up in my pocket for a few hours and nothing seem to happen . I perform on the street afterwards and everything went out smoothly . I just find that this fits really well for me . Of course I will be doing this and will be adding it into my routine or act . Definitely a worker for me .
Overall : 4/5 . DVD : 4/5 ( short but sweet ) Gimmick : 5/5 ( really well made ) Additional something gimmick : 3/5 ( not enough )

Hey Mark,
Have you started performing this yet ? Just curios how it works with a uk 10p and how does the gimmick hold up after a few performances. Sylar |

I would suggest you carry some spares with you so you can quickly change the part that wears if you need to. I have a 25mm hole punch and found that works well to make refills nice and cheap.

Thank you for the quick response Mark, I'll wait for a couple of reviews and decide then. In the mean time I shall get your card scarf as I think it's a genius idea.

I can imagine any number of banter scenarios, for example, talking about how "Those Americans sure like their candy." I think it could work well in conjunction with other coin routines, particularly if they use coins from different countries. There is one that almost comes to mind. I think it was put out by Mark Mason and If memory serves me, it ends with a US quarter. I know that on Mark Mason's Penguin Live lecture, he shows a routine with a US dollar and quarter and the routine ends with the regular quarter inside the deck of cards at their selection. This would be a perfect segue. Also, a routine with various coins from different countries where the participant drops the coins and removes all the tail coins repeatedly until they end up with only one coin, your prediction coin, a US quarter then used in the routine. I found the foil a bit difficult to work with until I used just a dab of repositionable glue along the front edge of the coin. Not the side edge of the coin, but around the perimeter of the face of the coin, just the edge. The foil sticks to the coin and it works perfectly. Also, I didn't use any of the foils it came with, I simply use regular aluminum foil. I heard the foils can present a problem, but I found that using the bit of repositionable glue and regular aluminum foil, I can stick it on, quickly cut it out, and I am ready to go. I also found that using the glue helps make this a bit more reset-able for multiple performances. Without the glue, I was pretty much destroying the foil after one performance. The glue makes it easier to keep the foil positioned better. I am certainly enjoying this one. KJ |

As instructed in the DVD, I use a small piece of double sided tape to keep the foil in fixed position. I personally change the foil every 3 month. With regular foil you'll need to change frequently because it wrinkles up fast.Hope this helps.

IS anyone else having problems keeping the mini band around the coin? Every time I do the "move", the band pops off and the coin falls apart. Very disappointed
