Most of these look like they came from hair style books like you'd find at the hair stylist's shop... game show hosts and fill-in musicians for The Byrds.

I can look back on a long history of my own bad hair days. When I was in high school (early 70s) the man across the street used to call me "helmet". It was pretty accurate, I guess, but I still think the 80's had the worst of the worst... still remembering the time I let someone talk me into getting a perm... I looked like a lion.
