A series of flourishes with cards including a one-handed cut that climaxes with the performer tossing a fan of cards into the air and catching them with the other hand. Free tutorial! Well worth watching just to see me do a split - I still got it going on!

I could be wrong, because nomenclature gets co-opted and subverted all the time of late it seems, but those were not slip cuts. My understanding is a slip cut keeps the top card on top via slipping it from on packet to the other.

My understanding is both cuts are referred to as a "slip cut", but I could be wrong too.
I've never seen the cuts I am doing published, but have had other magicians refer to what I'm doing as slip cuts also. Things that get passed around the backrooms of magic clubs are often called a lot of different things by different peoples. @Magician560: you are very welcome. :) -JoeJoe

A web search reveals what I'm doing is also called a "scissors cut" and a "stretch cut".
Some nice variations of it on the below video ... I do it slightly different in that my second finger is on the side of the deck, not the bottom. I would suspect the way I'm doing it to be just a tad easier, as it keeps the cards more stable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krI-jAVRa2g -JoeJoe
