Just got my set from Laflin. --Duane's videos are the clearest explanations I have seen. Should be entitled "magic for dummies"--excellent. Whenever I practice this routine I have it down perfectly--but when I go to show it to someone--even a kid in my wife's Daycare, I invariably mess it up--I'll get it. But that's not the topic. Wanted to ask for suggestions in bringing this into an act. I do not do a music thing where I pull out one trick after another. Mine is all dialogue. I am sure I will come up with something, but with this fantastic resource, thought I'd ask for input. What patter do you use?

Duane asks, "When is a knot, not a knot?" and that works, but looking for other suggestions and particularly tying it in to what you are already doing.

Well, I was happy to note that your act is a DIALOGUE. Too many magic acts are not.
Duane got that line, I believe, from Harry Blackstone Sr. I'll share a line from my rope routine (it goes with Ovette's Repeat Knots). "This is a SLIP knot! You don't believe it? I'll show you. See, it slips.....right off.......

I do Blue & Gold ceremonies, so that will work perfectly for those.
