Hi there, i was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the fickle fire was suited for close up work or is it strictly a stage/parlour tool. Thanks.

In my opinion, except for something that is pretty self contained like KAPS on Fire Wallet, or Business Card Flash, most fire is NOT appropriate for closeup work.

Parlor or Stage (I do Street Magic with fire - but establish the Parlor type distances..) are better venues since you have separation between fire and grabby or flakey audience members.

In stead of fire, for close up, I use FISM Flash and my own design Econo-Flash, and D'Lites etc. to get the excitement and spontaneity of brightness and a visual shock without risking setting anyone (including me)

The gimmicks are too big for close up and the ignition method would be obvious so no not for close up
