I purchased a set about a year ago. While I don’t see the reeding problem on the edges that Jake mentions, the diameter of the shell is noticeably larger than the included coins. All expanded shells have to be larger but not this much! THere is no way I can use the deep dish shell in a stack of coins. Otherwise it seems to be fine.
BTW, the Barber shell set from Todd Lassen that I use is by far the best shell I've seen and/or used. Jim |

I have been a Morgan Deep Dish “Shell Shocked” set user for over a year ago. As Jake says the edge reeding is too perfect vs old original Morgans.
I handled that issue by darkening the edge by using “Sulfur of Liver” bath. BUT.. you can use a sharper and a kneaded rubber eraser afterward to darken the milling edge recess. ANYTHING to replicate original coins age help. The edge of the shell doesn’t need to be perfect. Just give the “illusion” of sameness with the coins. I’ve NEVER have anyone question the shell. I use this set...AND I have the set DAILY in my pocket. It may not be a ‘Lassen’ infinity or perfect nesting; But if you keep it moving, NOBODY will see anything! Maybe I’m being ignorant because I’ve never had a Lassen or Schoolcraft (which I know will be an invisible fit) but I function with this set DAILY. Blessings, Steph
WHAT IF you wake up tomorrow with ONLY the things that you THANK GOD for today?
