I recently bought the small book, "Rainbow Matrix" by Mike Bornstein. There are several routines in it which modify Al Schneider's Matrix by putting colored stickers on the coins.
I'm curious if anyone has tried any of the routines in his book and which ones are the best? |

Mike Bronstein was a very clever magician. I haven't seen his book, but I am guessing that the stickers were to show 4 different coins, perhaps also using an easy c/s type gaff. There are matrix routines in print with 4 different coins, might be fun to compare them.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:

Yes, that is correct. He uses c/s type gaffs. He recommends in his book not to do more than two of his routines for the same audience at the same time. I'm just trying o figure out which ones are the best so I can concentrate on those.

I just went through the first routine in the book. It's the same thing as Matrix plus all of the coins going back to under the four cards, except all of the coins have a different color. Because all of the coins have a different color, the methodology is more difficult than regular Matrix.
The big question is "Is the difficult methodology worth it?" It reminds me of Tenyo's Professor's Nightmare with different colored ropes that someone gave me as a gift in 1982. I don't use it. I do Professor's Nightmare with all white ropes in my shows. |

I have many friends who happen to also be magicians.
Just like my musician friends, we sometimes share and jam. That's been my experience. Harris Still with palms of aluminum foil, for a lighter touch in coin magic .
